Valentino the last emperor

Hey there, it is been a few days you guys haven't heard from me. Ive been caught by this amazing Amsterdam weather, palm trees en lot's of sunshine (oh i wish). Calling in sick at my job wasn't a option for me, it is so 90's. Anyway the Idfa has landed in the city: International documentary festival Amsterdam. We went with the whole team of spice pr to this amazing documentary: Valentino-the last emperor. This headache en cold couldn't bring me down.....Valentino Garavani the last one standing.A focus on the legendary Italian fashion designer. He stands solid as one of the greatest of twentieth-century design. His forty-five-year career flashes by. Valentino never forgot to keep women beautiful. He works in his own world free from the waves and trends of the fashion world. When he was asked if he knew what women wanted, he answered: Yes i know what women want. They want beauty. This documentary shows the period between Valentino's ???? (let's not say) birthday and his final couture show. You could let a tear so beautiful, so real, it is a documentary from the hart. His contribution to fashion, his dogs, the ladies in his atelier, the fifty-year relationship between Valentino Garavani and Giancarlo Giammetti, his business partner, lover, best friend and more. Their moments on screen are touching, fabulous, funny and heartbreaking. It is al these things together that makes his creations so treasured. He is Glamour, he is beauty, he is so cool. As Karl Lagerfeld said: we make great things, all the others make rags. I truly hope that Alessandra Facchinetti (who we know, after Tom Ford for Gucci) does a great job..........Valentino the last emperor salute us.
